How It Works

Ask a Question

Type any yes/no question into the field and tap "Ask the Frog." The frog will pause to think — his eyes dart around, he blinks, he croaks — and then deliver his verdict. Each answer is drawn from a pool of over 65 unique responses, so no two visits feel the same.

The Daily Luck Score

Every day the frog wakes up with a Pond Luck Score — a number between 15 and 100. It is seeded by the date, which means it is the same for every visitor on the same day and resets automatically at midnight. The higher the score, the more likely you are to get a YES.

• 85–100 · Euphoric 🌟 — strongly weighted toward YES
• 70–84 · Happy 🌈 — mostly YES answers
• 50–69 · Balanced 🍃 — roughly even YES and NO
• 30–49 · Tired 😴 — leans toward NO
• 15–29 · Grumpy 😤 — mostly NO answers
• 0–14 · Furious 💢 — almost always NO

Memory

LuckFrog remembers everything — privately, inside your own browser. It tracks every question you have asked, every answer you received, how many days in a row you have visited, and the last date you were here. None of this ever leaves your device. No account, no server, no cloud.

Ask the same question twice in one day and the frog will notice. Come back after a week and he will say he missed you. Ask over a hundred questions and his tone starts to shift — he knows you now.

Daily Streak

Visit LuckFrog on consecutive days and your streak counter grows. After five days in a row, the frog earns a crown. Miss a day and the streak resets to one. Your current streak appears beneath the frog and below the question input.

Greeting Messages

Every time you open LuckFrog, the frog reads your last visit date and greets you with a message that matches how long you have been away — first visit, returning the same day, back after one day, back after three days, back after a week, or returning after a month each get a different greeting.

Special Inputs

The frog responds intelligently to inputs that are not yes/no questions. Say hello, wish him good morning, send a compliment, or ask for general advice — he will respond in character. He also has opinions about profanity and will let you know.

Certain specific questions trigger hidden easter-egg answers. Try asking "are you real?", "do you love me?", "will I win the lottery?", or "are you AI?" to discover them. Visit between 2 and 4 AM in your local time — the frog will be asleep.

Milestones

At 1, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, and 500 questions asked, the frog marks the occasion with a special milestone message inside the answer sheet.

Sharing

After every answer you can share your fortune directly to X (Twitter), WhatsApp, Telegram, Weibo, or WeChat. The share message includes your question, the frog's answer, and his current mood — along with a prompt for others to ask their own question at LuckFrog.com.

Built With

LuckFrog is built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no frameworks, no build tools, no dependencies. It runs entirely in your browser and is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. The daily luck score is generated using a Park-Miller linear congruential generator seeded by the current date.
